In 2015, the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) and School Bus Fleet magazine, published by Bobit Business Media, embarked on a limited, four-year agreement to co-host an event, called the School Bus eXchange (SBX), intended to connect public and private school transportation service providers with industry product and service suppliers.
This agreement expired recently and both organizations decided amicably to explore individually how best to serve the industry in the future.
“School Bus Fleet and NAPT share a passion for school transportation and we remain steadfast partners,” said Ty Bobit, President and CEO of Bobit Business Media. “We are proud of what we accomplished and hope those who participated in SBX found the meetings informative and helpful professionally. We’ll continue our mission to provide an event that helps people and businesses in the pupil transportation industry succeed.”
“While the SBX will no longer be offered, this mutual decision allows us to use what we’ve learned and offer new, unique education and training experiences geared toward ensuring the industry at-large, and NAPT members in particular, are prepared to meet the challenges they face now and in the future,” stated Mike Martin, NAPT’s Executive Director and CEO. “We’ve enjoyed working with our friends at School Bus Fleet on this project and look forward to future collaborations.”
